CAPE TOWN - Two men have died and three others have sustained burns in fires that broke out in the Marikana informal settlement and Dunoon.

In the latest blaze in Dunoon, 30 homes were destroyed leaving 120 people displaced.

The cause of the fires has not yet been establish.

The City of Cape Town's Fire and Rescue Service's Theo Lane says, "During the early hours of this morning we responded to two incidents. In the first incident 30 informal settlements were destroyed and left 120 people displaced. One adult male sustained fatal burns."
