CAPE TOWN - A man accused of murdering three family members is expected back in court today.

Henri van Breda allegedly killed his parents and his older brother at their Stellenbosch home last January. His younger sister survived the attack.

He was granted bail of R100,000 at his last court appearance.

Van Breda's pre-trial hearing is expected to start in the Western Cape High Court today.

He's facing three counts of murder, one of attempted murder and charges relating to tampering with the crime scene.

An autopsy has confirmed his parents and brother died as a result of head wounds most likely caused by an axe.

The accused's teenage sister, Marli, sustained serious head wounds and suffers from retrograde amnesia.
