Ramaphosa reiterates govt's commitment to rollout nuclear energy
Ramaphosa has emphasised SA is not yet in talks with foreign businesses to procure a nuclear energy build.
Ramaphosa yesterday told the NCOP that a 9,600MW new nuclear build proposal is set for public release during this financial year.

He says the Energy Department is in consultation with stakeholders to ensure this definite future energy source is a benefit to the country.
Ramaphosa however, could not give details around the rollout of the integrated resource plan.
"The IRP is in the process of being finalised and crafted. I will not be able, standing here, to determine on which it will be available."
Using Koeberg nuclear power station as an example, Eskom CEO Brian Molefe has previously stated nuclear is currently the cheapest energy form available.
