[LISTEN] Sans Souci girls struggling to be African in Africa, says learner

| Claims of racist practices at Sans Souci Girls High School has caused debate. A learner spoke to CapeTalk’s Kienno Kammies about her experience.

CAPE TALK - A Sans Souci Girls' High School learner spoke to CapeTalk's Kienno Kammies about alleged racism at her school.

She says Afros and dreadlocks are considered to be exotic hairstyles. "We find this extremely ironic because exotic means characteristic of another country."

The learner says students of colour at Sans Souci are struggling to be African in Africa.
