'The fight for women's rights is not over'
While women's month might be over, activists say the fight for equality should never stop.
CAPE TOWN - The Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children says women's rights are still being trampled on.
While women's month might be over, women's rights activists say the fight for equality should never stop.
Centre director Shaheema Mcleod says they have seen an increase in the number of women, especially young girls, coming to the facility seeking help.
"In the media we've seen young teens being questioned about their choices around hairstyles, and women are still facing disrespect and inequality."
