Two killed in cement truck accident near Hammanskraal

JOHANNESBURG - Two men have been killed after a cement truck veered off the road and overturned on the N1 between Carousel Toll Gate and Hammanskraal.
The pair were trapped inside the truck when paramedics arrived and were declared dead on the scene.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Netcare 911's Athlenda Mathe says: "The fire department worked tirelessly, for over two hours, to extricate the two men. Once freed, and after they were assessed by Netcare 911 paramedics, it was found that the two men had died due to their injuries."
