CAPE TOWN - Four universities, including the University of Cape Town, are to detail how they intend dealing with gender violence issues on campus.

The Commission on Gender Equality is looking into the issue.

Rape and other sex crimes were thrust into the spotlight through protests at various universities earlier this year.

The commission's Mfanozelwe Shozi says: "Their curriculum should be geared to ensure students unlearn their patriarchal attitudes."
