Durban woman arrested after being bust with R3m worth of cocaine

JOHANNESBURG - A Durban woman has been arrested after being found in possession of cocaine worth a street value of R3 million.

Last night, police raided an apartment in the CBD where they found 48 kilograms of the drugs as well as R700,000 in cash.

Police say they were conducting routine patrols when they were tipped off about suspected drug dealing in the area.

The arrested suspect is expected in court next week.

The police's Thulani Zwane said, "A 30-year-old woman was arrested for the possession of drugs and will appear in the Durban Magistrates Court on Monday."
