CAPE TOWN - Five people have been shot and killed after violence flared up in the Delft community over the past two days.

On Wednesday night, two people including a known drug lord were gunned down.
The shootings happened minutes apart.
At around 5am yesterday, a third shooting was reported in Roosendal.
The violence continued last night when two more people were killed and two teenagers wounded.
Delft Community Policing Forum caretaker chairperson Reginald Maart said: "At the moment we are very disturbed by the spate of murders and the community is also disturbed by the shootings happening in the area for the last two, three nights."
