2 men arrested in Free State for allegedly killing cop

JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks say two men have been arrested in Botshabelo in the Free State for allegedly stabbing and killing a police constable.

Johannes Putsoeli's body was found with stab wounds in an open field earlier this year.

He was also robbed of his service pistol, cellphone and wallet.

Hawks spokesperson Sfiso Nyakane says the two will appear in court on Monday.

"The suspects will face charges of murder and robbery."
