[LISTEN] Should you be worried about the proposed sugar tax?

Talk Radio 702 host John Robbie spoke to Priceless SA’s professor Karen Hofman about the proposed sugar tax.

JOHANNESBURG - The implementation of a sugar tax, which comes into effect in April next year, has been met with criticism.

Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan made the announcement earlier this year in his budget speech.

Discrimination against the poor and possible job losses are among the concerns.

However, professor Karen Hofman from Priceless SA believes that the sugar tax will go a long way in fighting obesity and diabetes.

She chats to Talk Radio 702's John Robbie about the issue.
