#Olympics2016 SA's javelin queen Sunette Viljoen wins silver

Sunette Viljoen won Team SA's ninth medal with a throw of 64.92 metres.

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's Sunette Viljoen has won silver in the women's javelin at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Viljoen's best throw on the night was 64.92 metres.

Croatia's Sara Kolak won gold with a throw of 66.18 metres, while Barbora Špotáková of the Czech Republic secured bronze with 64.8m.

Viljoen's success came on the same day that Henri Schoeman won bronze in the triathlon.

Team SA's medal haul now stands at nine - one gold, six silver and two bronze.
