JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have urged Khutsong residents to come forward with any information in connection with the murder of two people who were killed in apparent gang violence.

It's understood a local gang clashed with community members at a tavern in the area at the weekend.

Four people have since been arrested on charges of murder.

A friend of Musa Dlamini, one of the victims, says he is losing hope in the justice system because the gangsters always seem to find a way out of a prison.

Thapelo Sekome says it's painful to see the person responsible for his friend's death walking in the streets.

"These boys are arrested one day and the next day they are out of prison. We don't understand. Everybody knows these boys are pain. This is not happening for the first time."

Sekome says it is tempting to take the law into his own hands but he believes, if he was to retaliate, he would be punished even more than the actual criminals.

Residents of Khutsong, together with the police, held a meeting yesterday, where ways to combat gangsterism were discussed but no resolutions were made.
