Mashaba rewards Olympic form in Bafana squad
Bafana Bafana will use their next two matches as preparation for the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba announced his squad today ahead of the 2017 Gabon Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The squad will face Mauritania at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on 2 September, the last of their qualifiers.
Thereafter they will face North African giants Egypt at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on 6 September.
Mashaba has rewarded the Olympic form of Gift Motupa and new Orlando Pirates defender Abubakker Mobara.
The coach has also kept striker Tokelo Rantie in the squad although he has been sidelined at Premier League club Bournemouth.
He went onto to say they are using the two matches as preparation for the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers, where they're in a group with Senegal, Cape Verde and Burkina Faso which begins later this year.
