Family of Khutsong gang violence victim demands answers from police
Musa Dlamini was stabbed to death allegedly by young criminals who belong to a local gang in Khutsong.
JOHANNEBSURG - Family members of a man who was killed during gang violence in Khutsong say they are devastated by his brutal murder and are searching for answers.
Musa Dlamini was stabbed to death allegedly by young criminals who belong to a local gang that clashed with community members at a tavern in the township last Friday night.
He died on the way to a local hospital.
Dlamini's sister Mavis says she doesn't understand why her brother was singled out from a group of people and stabbed to death.
She says she wants answers from the police because they are failing to protect the community.
"This has cost us as elderly people a lot, now we've to transport the body back home to KZN. We're asking for answers from the police because now the people involved have been arrested."
Dlamini's brother Litha says he has no hope that this war will end anytime soon as the same thing happened to his friend just a few years ago.
"After they killed my friend we fought against them and they came into our territory and we chased them away. We didn't have enough manpower because we were fewer than them."
The family will today travel to KwaZulu-Natal where Dlamini will be laid to rest.
