SA woman caught with 5kg of cocaine in Panama
The 42-year-old South African has been arrested in Panama on charges of dealing in drugs.
JOHANNESBURG - A South African woman has been arrested at Panama's International Airport after being caught with 5kg of cocaine.
The Hawks say the 42-year-old was about to board a flight to Lisbon when she was found with the drugs valued at about R4.5 million.
Hawks spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the drugs were concealed inside her backpack and also sewn into the seams of her clothes.
"She will be appearing in court soon on charges of dealing in drugs. We're also working on getting her back to South Africa."
