WC Health Dept in drive to promote free health screenings for women
Programmes have been planned by the WC Department of Health for Women’s Month.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Health Departmen t says there's a greater need to raise awareness about free health screenings available to women.
The department says some women often neglect their health needs to look after their families.
Various programmes have been planned for Women's Month to encourage women to focus more on themselves.
Edna Arends, deputy director of Women's Health Programmes says: "We are trying to get women to become aware of what we offer at our public health facilities. During this women's month we have scheduled two sessions in the community because we would like to mobilise the community and get them to attend our facilities."
