[LISTEN] UDM's Holomisa weighing up coalition offers

The UDM has already been approached by both the ANC and DA

CAPE TOWN - Leader of the United Democratic Movement Bantu Holomisa says the party is weighing its options before forming a coalition in Nelson Mandela Bay.

This comes after the Democratic Alliance secured 49 percent of the votes in the metro; but the council is hung and the party will have to partner with others to govern the area.

In the SoundCloud clip Holimisa speaks to Kieno Kammies on the Cape Talk Breakfast show.

While the African National Congress has also set its sights on the UDM, Holomisa says they are consulting with other parties before making a decision.

"This time around we are not just going to be used as voting cattle and then after that we are dumped. We want to make sure that the people who voted for us benefit out of these coalitions."
