At least 18 arrested for drunk driving in WC

Traffic officials are urging road users to avoid drinking and driving.

CAPE TOWN - At least 18 people have been arrested on the Western Cape's road for drinking and driving since Friday evening.

Three people died in a collision near Prince Alfred Hamlet yesterday. It's believed the driver was intoxicated.

Cape Town Traffic Service's Jacques Mostert says: "We want to urge all road users please don't mix alcohol with road use. We will have more roadblocks throughout the province."

Meanwhile in Gauteng, a motorcyclist has died in a collision with a vehicle last night in Westonaria.
