JOHANNESBURG - As political parties anxiously wait for the last of this year's municipal election results to come in, they have started to reflect on their highlights and losses.
The African National Congress Head of Elections Nomvula Mokonyane says for her campaigning across the country was the most significant highlight of this year's elections.
"Having to be at a taxi rank with volunteers under freezing conditions."
The Economic Freedom Fighters' Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says one of the biggest highlights for the red berets is the nationwide growth of support.
"We're happy. We targeted a national footprint and we're getting exactly that."
Amidst all the talk of coalitions, falls from grace and new found victories, political parties say they will carry forward the lessons learned during this year's elections to the 2019 polls.
