CAPE TOWN - A suspected drug smuggler is due back in court today after she was arrested at Cape Town International Airport.
Melody Sibanda was caught with tik worth almost R2 million in her possession last week.
The police's narcotics unit arrested Sibanda as she disembarked a flight from Johannesburg.
Sibanda reportedly packed the more than eight kilogrammes of tik in cereal boxes hidden in her luggage.
She was arrested following a random search as passengers collected their bags from the carousel.
The Bellville Magistrates Court is today expected to hear a formal bail application on the matter.
