Mantashe: ANC putting effort into election campaigning
The ANC’s campaign ahead of next week’s polls has seen leaders going all over the country.
JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Gwede Mantashe says the effort being put into this year's elections by the party is no different from the way the party has handled previous elections.
The ANC's campaign ahead of next week's polls have seen leaders going all over the country and the party paying for radio and television advertising.
Last week, the ANC's campaigns head Nomvula Mokonyane said the campaign was costing the party a R1 billion before Luthuli House said that was not true.
Mantashe says this poll is as important as all the others.
"We're putting a lot of effort as we always do. We always put effort to elections because elections are serious. Elections are always important because it's the way we can tell if we're still preserving the interests of the people."
