JOHANNESBURG - A Limpopo man has finally come forward to claim his R87.6 million lottery prize.

The winner of last week's Powerball had bought the ticket at a filling station in Mokopane.

This is the fourth highest cash prize in South African lottery history.

Ithuba National Lottery's spokesperson Zukiswa Nomnganga says, "As of last night, the winner made contact with our Polokwane office and they made contact with our winner services department. From our side, we have validated the ticket but we've not paid out because we're still making arrangements to meet with the winner."
