JOHANNESBURG - Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) officials have arrested several suspects in Hammanskraal in connection with drug dealing and cable theft.

Yesterday, two people were arrested for being in possession of marijuana worth an estimated street value of more than R140,000.

The men were found in possession of six bags and 122 match boxes stuffed with dagga.

Officials also arrested four people in connection with cable theft in Hammanskraal and Atteridgeville.

TMPD spokesperson Isaac Mahamba said: "We are appealing to the members of the community that if they see any activity that is drug or cable related, [they must notify us] we have a team that is dedicated and is dealing with this in our department."
