CAPE TOWN - Metro police bosses claim a different law enforcement agency was on the scene where a man was murdered in a suspected gang attack in Manenberg.

Some eyewitnesses allege metro police officers didn't intervene to assist the victim earlier this week.

Metro police chief, Wayne Le Roux says: "We immediately did a follow up and we can confirm that it was not metro police involved. It's another law enforcement agency. We view this in a very serious matter and currently the city is busy doing an investigation."
