[LISTEN] Has Marius Fransman been officially reinstated?
Marius Fransman was among several provincial party leaders who joined ANC President Jacob Zuma on a campaign trail in Cape Town; raising the question of whether he has resumed his duties.
JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress's (ANC) national spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says the party's embattled Western Cape leader Marius Fransman has not been officially reinstated.
Fransman was asked to step aside by the party's national leadership this year to allow for a probe into allegations of sexual assault.
Louisa Wynand, 21, claims she had just started working for Fransman in January when he fondled her and forced her to share a bed with him.
Yesterday, National Executive Committee member and head of ANC campaigns Nomvula Mokonyane said Fransman was told he could resume his duties.
