WC High Court to hear case against alleged UCT rapist
Patrick Hlomane is believed to be behind the attacks of at least three women near Rhodes Memorial.
Patrick Hlomane, 35, is believed to be behind the attacks of at least three women in the vicinity of the heritage site since November.
He has been charged with among others rape, attempted murder and kidnapping.
The matter has been postponed for six weeks to allow the State time to prepare an indictment for the High Court.
By September, the prosecution will also determine whether Hlomane will face additional charges for other attacks that took place near the University of Cape Town campus.
The court previously heard Hlomane evaded arrest for several months by using various aliases.
He also did not have a fixed address.
He was arrested in his hideout in a derelict building near Rhodes Memorial in March.
