Zanu-PF supporters stage pro-Mugabe march in Harare
Thousands marched through the streets of Harare in a show of support for President Robert Mugabe.
The chilling threat was made as thousands of young people gathered at the ruling party headquarters today.
The building is just a few hundred metres away from the court where pastor Mawarire was last week cleared of trying to overthrow the government.
He has led a mostly online campaign calling for government accountability through peaceful stayaways.
State media is quoting Zanu-PF youth Commissar Innocent Hamandishe saying that youths voted Mugabe into power.
President Mugabe was not voted by @PastorEvanLive . Those who voted for him are not fools. Don't insult their intelligence— ZANU PF (@ZANUPF_Official) July 20, 2016
In what looked very much like a direct threat, he said police should stand aside so that the youths can deal with pastors and what he called their funny acts.
