CAPE TOWN - Some Kayamandi residents in Stellenbosch say they will take the law into their own hands to curb an apparent increase in crime in the area.

There have been two separate vigilante killings in the area. The attacks which left two men dead occurred just hours apart on Monday.

Three people have been arrested.

This resident says there's an urgent need for increased policing.

"They were called by the community but they are not there when they are called by the community. But when the community starts to get extreme, they come out."
