24 arrested for drunk driving in the Western Cape
One drunk driver was arrested after hitting and killing a pedestrian yesterday evening.
CAPE TOWN - Twenty-four people have been arrested for drunk driving in the Western Cape since the start of the weekend.
Traffic officials have been out in full force, testing more than 1,400 motorists for alcohol.

Provincial traffic's Jacques Mostert said, "2,269 vehicles were screened for speeding of which 373 speeding offences were recorded. Fines were issued for various traffic violations to the amount of R318,000.
