Suspects held in attack of traffic officers in Khayelitsha

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape transport has welcomed the arrest of two men implicated in a robbery and shooting involving two provincial traffic officers in Khayelitsha.



Harare police nabbed the pair yesterday.

The female traffic officers, Princess Nkomo and Mandisa Plaatjie, were on patrol in Harare when they were shot and wounded last week.

They have since been released from hospital.

The department's Byron la Hoe says, "We welcome the arrest of the two men who were allegedly involved in the attack of two traffic officers last week."
