CAPE TOWN - The Bonteheuwel community remains tense following days of deadly gang violence in the area.

There have been a rash of deadly shootings there in recent days, most of which are gang-related.

In the latest shootings, three teenage boys were shot and wounded yesterday.

The shooting happened just metres from where the memorial service of slain train driver Piet Botha took place.

Botha was robbed and shot dead while waiting for a train at the Netreg Station earlier this week.

In a separate incident, also near the station this week, a 20-year-old man was gunned down.

Last week, a 15-year-old was killed outside a shop in the area. A suspected gangster was also gunned down in a taxi.
