CAPE TOWN - Three people, including an eight-year-old child, are in a critical condition in hospital following separate gun attacks in Hanover Park.
Police said that the child was hit by a stray bullet during a suspected gang-related shooting yesterday.
In another incident on the same day, two men were killed and two others wounded.
It has not been confirmed whether the incident was gang-related, but paramedics have requested police protection when entering the area due to the violence.
Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert Daniels confirmed that two men were in critical but stable conditions after "sustaining multiple wounds."
