JOHANNESBURG - There are two service delivery protests underway this morning, one in Finetown on the south of Johannesburg and the other in Soweto.

In Soweto, police fired rubber bullets to disperse protesters who blocked the entrance of the Chris Hani Baragwaneth Hospital.

Meanwhile, in Finetown, residents barricaded the R557 and K43, with burning tyres and rocks.

The police's Kay Makhubela said that both protests are believed to be related to electricity problems.

"As the police, we are monitoring the situation and we're trying to find out what the problem is. There have been no injuries or damage to property yet."
