HAMMANSKRAAL - President Jacob Zuma has told residents in Hammanskraal and Winterfelt to vote for the African National Congress (ANC) because it has a good track record in government.

The president is campaigning in the capital city with mayoral candidate Thoko Didiza and ANC regional leaders.

President Zuma says Tshwane is the home of the ANC and therefore cannot be run by another party.

Zuma told residents that ANC leaders were jailed while fighting for the freedom the country enjoys today.

He's told them not take this freedom for granted by wasting their votes on parties that he says make a lot of noise and have no respect.

He wrapped up his speech by telling supporters to make sure the ANC retains Tshwane after the elections, warning if the party wins in small margins, it will be in big trouble.
