CAPE TOWN - Two provincial traffic officers have been shot and wounded while on patrol in Harare, Khayelitsha.
The women managed to drive themselves to a hospital in Mitchells Plain where they are currently receiving treatment.
Provincial traffic spokesperson Byron la Hoe says, "It's believed that while officers were patrolling the area, people travelling in a Toyota Avanza started shooting at them. One of the officers was shot in the arm and the other in the stomach. We condemn this incident in the strongest possible terms."
