Metrorail trains delayed by an hour between JHB, PTA after fatal accident
It’s understood a person, who ignored the warning bell on the tracks, died after being hit by the train.
JOHANNESBURG - Metrorail says its service between Johannesburg and Pretoria are delayed by an hour due to a deadly accident.
It's understood a person ignored the warning bell on the tracks earlier today and died after being hit by the train.
Emergency teams are now working at the scene to clear the site.
Metrorail spokesperson Lillian Mofokeng said, "The Metrorail train is service is running behind schedule and we are currently operating at 60 minute delays. We condemn acts of commuters of being on our railway tracks."
