Alleged hitman arrested in Sea Point

CAPE TOWN - A 25-year-old man, believed to be behind at least four gang-related killings, has been arrested in Sea Point, in the Western Cape.

The alleged hitman was apprehended with an unlicensed firearm yesterday.

Authorities say the arrest happened during a car search.

Hawks spokesperson Lloyd Ramovha said, "Preliminary investigations have since linked the said weapon to at least four gang-related murder cases. The accused is expected to answer to murder as well as possession of unlicensed firearm charges."
