JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng African National Congress (ANC) chair Paul Mashatile says churches must work with the party to better the lives of South Africans.

Mashatile was campaigning earlier today at the Zulu Congregational Church in Soweto.

He told the congregation the ANC would not survive without the help of the church.

Mashatile also reminded church members to vote on the 3 August.

"The government and the church should work together as partners in all things we do: fighting poverty, drugs in communities, unemployment and creating jobs. The job of bringing a better life to our citizens is job we must tackle together."
