CT's Bonnie & Clyde found guilty of murder
Craig and Bridget Smeddle were yesterday convicted of killing 71-year-old Table View resident Robert Symons.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape High Court has found a Cape Town couple guilty of murder for a second time.
Craig and Bridget Smeddl e were yesterday convicted of killing 71-year-old Table View resident Robert Symons two years ago.
They murdered Symons while they were out on bail for killing their drug dealer five years ago.
Justice Judith Cloete has found the couple guilty of all the charges against them, including murder, forgery and theft.
They have been convicted of killing their drug dealer Edwin Obiano, while they were addicted to heroin, in 2011.
Obiano had been strangled to death with a garrotte wire.
The pair will soon be sentenced for the murder of Symons.
After murdering Symons they stole his car and sold it to another man who eventually testified against them after reaching an agreement with the state.
