JOHANNESBURG - Rapper AKA is still receiving love from fans across Africa for his guest appearance on popular American music show 106 & Park.

AKA is the first South African rapper to appear on the show.

The host, who loved what he had to offer, referred to him as "the king of SA rap".

AKA and fellow industry rival Cassper Nyovest have been putting local hip hop on the map in the US.

They're currently in the States after attending the annual Black Entertainment Television Awards in Los Angeles at the weekend.

Nyovest also made an appearance on US radio station SWAY last week where he claimed he was the 'South African Kanye West'.

Social media is once again abuzz with debate over who, between the two, is the greatest.
