Sanral calls for road users to be accountable
Sanral’s Nazir Alli says South Africans often look for someone else to blame for road fatalities.
JOHANNESBURG - South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nazir Alli says South Africans need to start taking accountability for their actions on the country's roads.
Alli was speaking at a colloquium hosted by Sanral and the Transport Department in Pretoria.

The CEO says South Africans are often looking for someone else to blame for the high level of road fatalities especially during the festive season.
But he says all road users have to be accountable for their actions and attitudes.
Alli says members of the public need to follow all road safety rules instead of being selective about their compliance.
