City of CT prepared for possible flooding as rains persist across WC
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in the Western Cape.
CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management officials are preparing for possible incidents of flooding as heavy rains persist across the Western Cape.
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of more heavy rainfall expected in the Cape Metropole, Overberg, Cape Winelands and parts of the West Coast District this evening.
The adverse weather conditions are expected to last until tomorrow.
The city's Charlotte Powell said, "The weather warning issued indicates more heavy rainfall and flooding could be expected. Our risk management centre along with our NGO partners are ready to deal with any eventuality."
