NPA confirms it will charge Hope Zinde's son with murder

The 28-year-old suspect is expected to face charges of murder and possession of drugs.

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it will be charging South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) board member Hope Zinde's son with her murder.

The 28-year-old man is expected to make his first appearance in the Brits Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

The popular broadcaster's body was found in the boot of her vehicle at the Peacanwood Estate in Hartebeespoort Dam yesterday.

North West police are refusing to divulge any details surrounding the murder after her family asked there be no speculation around her death.

The police's Sabata Mokgwabone said, "As the police we got a call yesterday, we went to the place to find the body. We were not aware of reports of other people and access into the premises."

The suspect is expected to face charges of murder and possession of drugs.

He was taken in for questioning by police yesterday soon after hope Zinde's body was discovered.
