CAPE TOWN - Twenty-eight people have been injured in a bus crash on the N2 highway in Durban.

The bus, which was traveling from Isipingo, is believed to have collided with two cars this morning.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road down a nearby slope.

Paramedics say the 28 passengers have sustained various injuries and have been transported to nearby hospitals.

Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said, "The occupants suffered various injuries and were treated on the scene before being transported to various hospitals for further care required. The relevant authorities are on scene and will be doing the necessary investigations."
