CAPE TOWN - A Cape Town serial killer has been given seven life sentences, plus 40 years direct imprisonment, for the rape and murder of several women near the Century City train station.
Khangayi Sedumedi was sentenced in the Western Cape High Court today after entering into a plea agreement with the state.

He kidnapped, raped and murdered these women between 2011 and 2015.
Sedumedi's family were visibly distraught after he was sentenced by Western Cape Judge President John Hlope.
He has pleaded guilty to counts of robbery, kidnapping, rape and murder.
He was arrested last year, after the bodies of four women were found buried near the Century City Station.
