Authorities launch probe after dagga is found at CT crèche
Officers found the stash, worth R25,000, hidden under built-in cupboards in the kitchen.
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Social Development has launched an investigation into an unregistered Cape Town crèche where police found a substantial amount of dagga being stashed.
The Muizenberg crèche owner appeared in court following his arrest earlier this week.
Officers found the stash, worth R25,000, when they raided the premises this past weekend following a tip-off.
The drugs were hidden under built-in cupboards in the kitchen.
Social Development MEC Albert Fritz says his department has since moved the children from the facility.
