Krugersdorp woman arrested in Limpopo for fraud
A 19-year-old woman was arrested after she used a fake US cardiologist certificate to apply for a job.
JOHANNESBURG - A 19-year-old woman has been arrested for fraud in Limpopo after she used a fake American cardiologist certificate to apply for a position at a hospital in Polokwane.
The woman was shortlisted for the position at the Polokwane Hospital and had already secured a position at the Netcare facility, also in Polokwane, using the same certificate.
The Krugersdorp teenager was handcuffed by the Hawks today while waiting for her interview with the health department.
Hawks spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says she will appear in court on Thursday.
"She was arrested as she was waiting to be interviewed for the position. We also found out that she did not have a matric certificate and that she had already been inducted to work at a Netcare hospital."
