20 children injured in KZN accident
The children, aged between 8 and 14, were treated for minor injuries before being taken to hospital.
JOHANNESBURG - Twenty children have been injured after the taxi they were travelling in overturned on a rural road in Thembelihle outside Pietermaritzburg.
Paramedics say they arrived on the scene this afternoon - and sound a taxi lying on its side in a ditch.
The children aged between 8 and 14 were treated for minor injuries before being taken to hospital.
ER24's Russel Meiring says, "The children had sustained only minor injuries. We treated them for their injuries and transported them to nearby hospitals in the area for further assessment. It is understood that the driver had apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll down into the embankment."
