Jeremy Clarkson heading to SA to record new show
The new motoring series 'The Grand Tour' will mark Clarkson’s first TV show since he left 'Top Gear'.
LONDON - Former Top Gear TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson will record the first studio segments of his new show in South Africa.
The first episode of _The Grand Tour, _which is being made by Amazon Prime, will be filmed in Johannesburg next month.
The new motoring series will mark Clarkson's first TV show since he left _Top Gear _after he punched a producer.
Joined by Richard Hammond and James May, each episode's pre-recorded studio items will be filmed in a different country.
Amazon Video Europe says given the popularity of the trio in South Africa, Johannesburg is a fantastic place to start.
May claimed on social media that it was Hammond who chose the location because he'd run out of biltong.

Location filming has already begun in Portugal, Germany, Barbados and North Africa.
